"You either like me or you don’t. It took me twenty-something years to learn how to love myself, I don’t have that kinda time to convince somebody else."

"He may still love you. He probably does. He probably doesn’t know what he wants. He probably still thinks about you all the time. But that isn’t what matters. What matters is what he’s doing about it, and what he’s doing about it is nothing. And if he’s doing nothing, you most certainly shouldn’t do anything. You need someone who goes out of their way to make it obvious that they want you in their life."

"Dressing up is like masturbation, I do it for myself and if it turns you on, that’s fine, but this is for me and you’re not invited."

"Intelligence always had a pornographic influence on me."

Before I met him, I would dance in the shower.
When he was in my life, I would think about showering with him.
After he left, I would sit on the ground in the shower and cry.
When I got over him, I showered so quickly there was no time for dancing, fantasies or tears.
Someone can invade the smallest parts of your life,
you won’t even realize it until you dance in the shower again
and wonder why you ever stopped.

I look at everyone like they have a glow. There’s always a sparkle in everyone’s eyes. It takes a lot for me to look at anyone in a different light. Not saying that that hasn’t happened. Because it has and it will again. But maybe the reason I look for the sun in everyone is because I hate it when people don’t see mine. I think one of the most common and the worst unjust of them all is to be misunderstood.
